  • 1 cup Sugar Can substitute with honey or agave
  • 1 cup Water Base for the syrup
  • 2 inches Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 1 bunch Fresh Mint Leaves Can substitute with fresh basil
For the Mocktail
  • 2 cups Orange Juice Freshly squeezed recommended
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Can substitute with lemon juice
  • 1 cup Sparkling Water Chilled

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of sugar and water with grated fresh ginger. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the fresh mint leaves. Allow to steep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a clean jar, discarding solids. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  4. In a glass, mix 1 1/2 tablespoons of ginger-mint syrup with orange juice and lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Top off with chilled sparkling water for a bubbly finish.
  6. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a slice of lime. Serve in a chilled glass.
