Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the uncooked, peeled, and deveined shrimp with buttermilk. Allow to soak for about 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha in a separate bowl until well combined.
  3. Drain the shrimp and transfer to a plate. Sprinkle cornstarch over the shrimp, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F. Fry shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Toss the fried shrimp with the prepared bang bang sauce in a large bowl until thoroughly coated.
  6. In a blender, combine avocado, sour cream, lime juice and zest, jalapeño, cilantro, and salt. Blend until smooth.
