  • 350 g Penne Pasta Feel free to substitute with any short pasta you love.
For the Protein
  • 400 g Large Shrimp Use cleaned and deveined shrimp for best results.
For the Sauce
  • 3 cups Heavy Cream For a lighter option, half-and-half can be used.
  • 4 tbsp Jerk Sauce Store-bought or homemade works well.
  • 1-2 tsp Adobo Seasoning Adjust based on heat preference.
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder Optional but enhances flavor.
  • ¼ tsp Onion Powder Optional but adds depth.
  • 2 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika adds a delightful twist.
For the Vegetables
  • ½ each Capsicum Peppers Use red, yellow, or green bell peppers.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Crushed for flavor.
  • 3 each Green Onions Chopped for garnish.
For the Cheese
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Can use other cheeses like mozzarella and cheddar.
  • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese
For Cooking
  • Oil Any cooking oil.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the shrimp with 2 tablespoons of jerk sauce and ¼ teaspoon of adobo seasoning. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water for 10 to 12 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté marinated shrimp in a hot pan with oil for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp.
  4. In the same pan, sauté crushed garlic and chopped capsicum peppers for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and remaining jerk sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and add cheeses, stirring until melted. Fold in cooked penne and shrimp, heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve the pasta topped with additional cheese and green onions, and enjoy!
