Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 pieces jumbo pasta shells Substitute with shell pasta if necessary
For the Filling
  • ½ cup crab meat Can swap for lobster or scallops
  • ½ cup shrimp Cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese Substitute with cottage cheese for a healthier alternative
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, use milk mixed with flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter Essential for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Essential for flavor
  • 3 cloves minced garlic Essential for the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs Can substitute with fresh dill or chives
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest Do not omit for optimal taste
For Topping
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese Essentials for flavor
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley Freshness for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook jumbo pasta shells until al dente, about 8-10 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter with olive oil. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then stir in cream cheese and gradually add heavy cream, thickening for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Combine crab meat, shrimp, ricotta, and mozzarella in a mixing bowl. Add a quarter cup of the sauce mixture to bind, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the seafood filling and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. Pour the remaining sauce over the shells and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
