For the Wontons
  • 20 pieces Wonton Wrappers Use gluten-free wrappers for a gluten-free option.
  • ¼ cup Sweet Chili Sauce Adjust quantity based on heat preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Optional but highly recommended for garnish.
  • ¼ cup Cilantro Fresh for garnish; parsley can be a substitute.

Method
 

Marinate and Cook Chicken
  1. In a medium bowl, combine sliced chicken breasts with teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well and let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
Prepare Slaw
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine coleslaw mix, chopped green onions, rice vinegar, honey, and remaining sesame oil. Toss until well coated.
Fry Wontons
  1. Heat oil in a small saucepan until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Fry wonton wrappers for 20-30 seconds each side until golden brown.
Assemble Tacos
  1. Take a fried wonton wrapper and spoon in cooked chicken followed by slaw. Drizzle sweet chili sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro.
