Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the custard mixture by whisking together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Cube the bread into 1-inch squares and gently fold into the custard mixture.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture covered for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Make the topping by combining all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Mix in the diced butter until it resembles coarse sand.
  6. Assemble the casserole by greasing a 9x13-inch dish and pouring the soaked bread mixture into it. Sprinkle the topping over the top.
  7. Bake the casserole for about 50 minutes or until golden brown and a knife comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes, then whisk together the powdered sugar and milk for the glaze, and drizzle over the casserole before serving.
