  • 1 pound Ground Beef or ground turkey
  • 3 cups Cooked White Rice preferably day-old
  • 1 can Condensed French Onion Soup low-sodium option available
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or Gruyère
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or olive oil
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
For Garnish
  • Chopped Parsley optional

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of ground beef and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
  3. Combine the beef mixture with 3 cups of cooked white rice, 1 can of condensed French onion soup, and 1 cup of sour cream in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Spread the beef and rice mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
