Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Ginger Peach Lemonade
  1. Begin by pitting and slicing fresh peaches, measuring about 2 cups. In a saucepan, combine the sliced peaches with about 1 tablespoon of sliced ginger and ½ cup of cane sugar. Pour in 1 cup of water, then heat over medium flame. Stir frequently, allowing the mixture to come to a gentle boil until the sugar dissolves and the peaches soften, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Once the peaches have softened and the sugar is fully incorporated, remove the saucepan from the heat. Allow the peach-ginger mixture to cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. After the mixture has cooled, carefully transfer it to a blender. Blend on high until you achieve a smooth consistency. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 5 cups of cold water. Stir the mixture well.
  5. Now, add the strained peach-ginger syrup to the pitcher, stirring gently to combine all flavors. Serve this vibrant beverage over ice in tall glasses, garnished with fresh lemon slices.
