Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 250 g Dry Macaroni Or whole wheat/chickpea pasta.
For the Protein
  • 500 g Lean Ground Beef Can substitute ground turkey or chickpeas.
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Chopped White Onion Yellow onion is an alternative.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers (Red, Green & Yellow) Mix colors as preferred.
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Butter Can substitute with olive oil.
  • 200 g Light Cream Cheese Regular cream cheese for richer flavor.
  • 150 g Shredded Mozzarella Feel free to use other melting cheese.
  • 2 slices Light Cheese Slices Select good melting cheese.
For Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Paprika Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley Optional garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook dry macaroni for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 125ml of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  3. Add lean ground beef to skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  4. Lower heat and stir in cream cheese, mozzarella, and cheese slices. Mix for 3-4 minutes until melted and creamy.
  5. Stir in drained pasta and reserved water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, adjusting thickness as needed.
