  • 1 pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Thighs or Breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder can substitute with smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust according to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust according to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil for searing
For the Broth
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian option
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream or consider half-and-half for a lighter version
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
For the Ramen
  • 1 package Ramen Noodles or udon/soba noodles
  • 2 stalks Green Onion chopped for garnish
  • to taste Chili Oil optional, for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix together chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat the chicken with this spice mixture. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked. Let rest and slice.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until thick.
  4. Boil water in a pot. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  5. In a pot, heat sesame oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce, simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. To serve, place noodles in bowls, ladle hot broth over, top with chicken, creamy garlic sauce, and garnish with green onions and chili oil.
