  • 1 pound Ground Lamb or Beef or turkey for a lighter option
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Plain Breadcrumbs gluten-free if needed
  • 1 large Egg for binding
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon for warmth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
For the Tzatziki Sauce (optional)
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Grated Cucumber squeeze out excess moisture
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill or mint for a twist

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, parsley, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, oregano, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs (about 2 tablespoons each) and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 160°F.
  5. While the meatballs bake, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and dill in a bowl until creamy.
  6. Let the meatballs cool slightly before serving with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
