Step-by-Step Instructions for Sweet Potato Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread pecans on a baking sheet and roast for 5-7 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Peel and dice sweet potatoes, boil for about 15 minutes until fork-tender and mash until smooth.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix softened butter, flour, brown sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon until crumbly.
  5. Mix mashed sweet potatoes with brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
