  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated; Pecorino Romano can be used for a stronger flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients and grease your baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil until soft. Add ground beef and Italian sausage; cook until browned. Stir in tomatoes and herbs, simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, and salt until creamy. Set aside while preparing the layers.
  4. In your baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat the layers, ending with meat sauce and Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Let the lasagna rest for 15 minutes before serving. Prepare your salad or garlic bread while waiting.
