For the Color and Decoration
  • 1 drop Purple Gel Food Coloring
  • 1 drop Black Gel Food Coloring
  • ½ cup Purple Sprinkles
  • ½ cup Black/Chocolate Sprinkles

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cream together unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in eggs and milk until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry mix to butter mixture with vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Divide the dough into three and add colors to each part.
  6. Roll out black and white dough and layer them together.
  7. Roll out purple dough and sprinkle with purple sprinkles, then roll into a log.
  8. Roll the black-and-white dough around the purple log tightly.
  9. Chill the dough log for at least 1 hour wrapped in plastic wrap.
  10. Roll the chilled log in sprinkles, then slice into rounds.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
  12. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
