Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prep Salmon: Flake your cooked salmon or, if using canned, drain and break into small pieces.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add beaten egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, onion, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape Patties: Form the mixture into 4 to 6 patties, pressing down slightly to ensure uniform thickness.
  4. Chill (Optional): Refrigerate patties for 15-20 minutes for best results.
  5. Cook Patties: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain & Serve: Transfer cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with tzatziki or in pita.
