Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Glazed Ham Loaf
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil. Lightly spray the foil with cooking spray.
- Using a food processor, finely chop your leftover ham until it resembles loose ground meat, which will take about 15 seconds.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped ham, ground pork, seasoned panko breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture to your prepared baking sheet and shape it into a loaf approximately 8x4 inches.
- Place the shaped ham loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
- While the ham loaf is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing together dark brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves in a small bowl. Stir until smooth.
- After the initial 30 minutes of baking, carefully remove the ham loaf from the oven. Brush half of the glaze generously over the top.
- Once the additional baking is complete, brush the remaining glaze over the loaf and bake for another 10 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- After achieving the perfect temperature, remove the ham loaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
