Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a casserole dish with oil or cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat one egg until well combined. In another bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese with dried garlic, onion, oregano, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, allowing excess egg to drip off before coating in the Parmesan mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the greased casserole dish and bake for 20-30 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 145-150°F.
  5. After baking, spoon marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Optional: Switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a crispy top.
