Beef and Vegetables
  • 1 pound ribeye or sirloin beef thinly sliced against the grain

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Thinly slice your beef against the grain and place it in the marinade.
  5. Let the beef marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Remove the beef from the marinade and let any excess liquid drip off.
  2. Heat a little oil in your skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the beef slices in a single layer, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the beef and add sliced onion and carrots to the skillet.
  5. Sauté until slightly tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss to combine.
  7. Cook together for an additional minute.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
