Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 large English Cucumber Adds a refreshing base; substitute with any type of cucumber if not available.
  • 2 inches Fresh Ginger Provides a slight spicy kick; adjust the amount for less intensity.
  • 2 cups Filtered Water Blends and dilutes the mocktail.
For the Flavor
  • 1/2 cup Lime Juice Provides tanginess; fresh lime juice is recommended for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Mint Leaves Adds aromatic freshness; can substitute with mint extract if needed.
  • 2 tbsp Agave Syrup Sweetener for balancing flavors; maple syrup or honey can be used as substitutes.
For the Fizz
  • Club Soda Adds carbonation; can swap for ginger beer or soda water for different flavors.

Equipment

  • high-speed blender
  • Fine Mesh Strainer
  • tall glasses

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cucumber Mint Mocktail
  1. Start by washing and chopping the large English cucumber into smaller pieces, then add it to your high-speed blender. Along with the cucumber, toss in the fresh ginger, fresh mint leaves, agave syrup, and 2 cups of filtered water. Blend on high for about 1-2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Once blended, place a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth over a bowl or pitcher. Carefully pour the cucumber mixture through the strainer to separate the juice from the pulp. Press down gently on the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  3. Take a few tall glasses and fill each one with ice cubes. For an extra touch, add thinly sliced pieces of cucumber to the glasses.
  4. Carefully pour the freshly strained cucumber juice into the prepared glasses filled with ice, filling them about three-quarters full.
  5. Top each glass with club soda, filling them up to the rim while allowing the bubbles to enhance the refreshing experience. Finally, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and perhaps a slice of cucumber on the rim to add a pop of color.
