Ingredients

For the Meatloaf Mix
  • 1 lb Ground Beef adds rich flavor; consider a blend with pork or turkey
  • 1/2 lb Ground Pork enhances juiciness; feel free to try ground chicken
  • 1/2 lb Ground Veal contributes tenderness; can swap for more beef or a meatless alternative
For the Veggies
  • 3/4 cup Yellow Onion finely chopped for moisture and flavor
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced to boost aroma
For Texture and Flavor

  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper introduces a subtle kick
For the Saucy Goodness
  • 1 1/2 cups Marinara Sauce keeps the meatloaf moist and flavorful

  3. Gently fold in the cubed mozzarella cheese to the meat mixture.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shape it into a loaf, and press down gently.
  5. Place the loaf pan in your preheated oven and bake for 55 minutes.
  6. Once baked, pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top, then sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese and panko crumbs.

For enhanced flavor, consider preparing the meat mixture a day in advance and refrigerating it overnight. This allows the ingredients to meld beautifully.
