Step-by-Step Instructions for The Best Steak Marinade
- In a medium bowl, whisk together ½ cup of soy sauce, ¼ cup of Worcestershire sauce, 1 diced red onion, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 chopped green onions, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Place your selected steaks in a baking dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring each piece is coated completely. Seal the bag tightly or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Once marination is complete, remove the steaks from the marinade and let excess liquid drip off. Gently pat the surface dry with paper towels.
- Preheat your grill or pan to medium-high heat, about 400°F to 450°F. Cook steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- After cooking, tent your steaks with foil and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
- Once rested, slice the steak against the grain for maximum tenderness.

Notes
For best results, marinate for at least 30 minutes but not more than 1 hour. Always pat steaks dry before cooking for a better sear.
