Ingredients
  

For the Kofta
  • 1 lb Ground Chicken Can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; garlic powder can be used as a substitute
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Can substitute with cilantro
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin Essential for flavor
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander Essential for flavor
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper White pepper can be used as an alternative
For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Plain Yogurt Greek yogurt is recommended
  • 2 tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice Can substitute with vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil

Method
 

Kofta Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Wet your hands slightly and shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas, about 2-3 inches long. Place them on a clean plate.
  3. Preheat your grill on medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C). Brush the grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Carefully place the shaped koftas on the grill. Grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally every 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix plain yogurt, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  6. Once the koftas are golden and cooked through, serve alongside the creamy garlic yogurt sauce.
