Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg until well blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar, vegetable oil, and large eggs. Whisk thoroughly until smooth.
  4. Mix in the apple butter and buttermilk, blending until creamy and free of lumps.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, whisking gently just until combined.
  6. Lightly coat a 9x5x2.75-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray and pour in the batter.
  7. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter with icing sugar until combined, then add cold cream cheese and a few tablespoons of apple butter; mix until creamy.
  10. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the fully cooled loaf and swirl additional apple butter on top for garnish.
  11. If not serving immediately, refrigerate the frosted loaf briefly to set the frosting.
