Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by boiling a pot of water and cooking the egg or rice noodles according to package instructions, usually around 6–8 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add thinly sliced beef sirloin and marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil. Allow it to shimmer but not smoke.
  4. Carefully add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and freshly grated ginger, stirring for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in beef broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Add the cooked beef back into the mixture.
  7. Lower the heat and add the cooked noodles directly into the skillet, tossing everything together for about 1–2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
