Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Balls

  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs gluten-free option available

  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper can substitute with any bell pepper color or omit
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh is recommended
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger or canned/powdered ginger
  • 1 large Egg a flax egg works for vegan option
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil olive oil can be used
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt for lighter option
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream replace with more mayonnaise or yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice lime juice is a good substitute
  • 2 cloves Additional Garlic the more, the merrier!

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the fresh salmon until finely chopped, around 15-20 seconds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped salmon with breadcrumbs, green onions, bell pepper, garlic, ginger, egg, sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  4. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  5. Bake the salmon balls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and firm.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the creamy sauce; refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  7. Serve warm salmon balls with creamy garlic sauce for dipping.
