For the Burger Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Burger Sauce Blend of mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, and mustard.

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the burger sauce by combining mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, and mustard in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended and creamy. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the onions in a skillet over medium-low heat with butter, Worcestershire sauce, and red wine vinegar for about 20 minutes until they are golden and caramelized.
  3. Shape the ground beef into two patties, season, and make a small dent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high and cook the patties in the skillet for about 4 minutes on each side until browned and medium-well.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches by buttering the bread, layering cheese, patties, onions, and more cheese before topping with buttered bread.
  6. Grill the patty melts until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side, ensuring cheese is melted.
  7. Slice in half and serve hot with burger sauce on the side for dipping, along with French fries or a fresh side salad.
