Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and dusting with flour.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and pure vanilla extract; beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add boiling water to the batter, mixing on low speed until combined.
  5. Gently fold almond flour into the batter, being careful not to over-mix.
  6. Evenly divide the batter among the three prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Remove cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  8. In a saucepan, heat semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream until melted; allow ganache to cool slightly.
  9. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Assemble the cake by layering with ganache and whipped cream between each layer.
  11. Pour remaining ganache over the top and decorate with sliced almonds.
